It just occurred to me that the 3DS box art confirms Rosalina, Marth and Mac as starters.

I'm pretty sure they're gonna be starters. Maybe the starter list is Peach, DK, Link, Mario, WFT, Marth, Rosalina, Yoshi, Little Mac, Fox, Samus, Pit, Yoshi, Bowser, Pikachu, Villager, and Kirby. Also known as.. 3DS / Wii U boxart characters combined. I think I forgot some, but yeah. I'm aware Fox and Bowser aren't shown in both boxarts.

Last but not least, let's not forget... Mii Fighter.
