iStudying AMA: "Greninja is a character that you must play perfectly."

The Smashboards bi-weekly AMA's are back! For this video we have Netherlands' own iStudying, one of the most prominent Smash Wii U Greninja specialists in the world.

Dennis "iStudying" Kwerteng was first recognized his spectacular Diddy Kong play in past days of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, dominating the European scene. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U instantly became the newest generation's active competitive Smash title, the diverse character selection the game entails has instantly became a hit with the community! Solo-maining has never before been appealing to players until this iteration of Smash. As of now, iStudying currently holds the title of "The Best Greninja" and is Netherlands' top performing player, along side with Rami "Mr. R" Delshad and Bart "S1" Ploegmakers. iStudying is currently ranked 42nd on Panda Global's Ranking for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and has notable wins over over Eric "ESAM" Lew, Elliot "Ally" Carroza-Oyarce and Ramin "Mr. R" Delshad, proving that Greninja can be a serious threat.

In this video AMA, iStudying and I go over Greninja's best/worst match-ups, the reason why he chose Greninja as a main instead of his Diddy Kong, his thoughts over his victory of ESAM and if Greninja has the abilities to take a national tournament!

Don't forget to follow him on Twitter for any updates or news on iStudying and his current events. If you did enjoy this content, please, make sure you subscribe to Houston Smash Network, Smashboards' official channel for interviews on YouTube!

I dunno if you necessarily have to play him perfectly, but his inputs for combos can be pretty unforgiving at times.

I think the character that quote goes with best would be Zelda and maybe Ganondorf, tho. Zelda has 0 safe moves and even moves with fast start-up have high frames for animation or some delay that makes it impossible to create a "safety" wall" at least.

Greninja is in the same boat as Peach, since they are both very neutral heavy. They have very good tools at their disposal (and so-so grabs that aren't awful) but require plenty of FF/short hops/mechanic knowledge to actually be the best they can be. Sure you can win with them using medium-level knowledge, but you're not winning serious matches. Both are a delight to watch... And super annoying to fight against when the player is good with the character

Um, what? They just said that solo-maiming is more appealing because there is MORE character diversity?
In a game like smash64, solo maiming may be viable, but there is not as much of a pride factor in it. In Smash 4, a King Dedede main would be very interested in doing so because it is fun. As a Wii fit trainer solo-main, I find that it makes life harder but more interesting. A secondary is always nice though as all characters have bad matchups.
