Hooray, some douche-bag stopped us from being able to see the livestreams!!! And now he's being stubborn and not taking down the videos!!!

This is a great day for us all.

By the way, the commentary is pretty bad. Every 30 seconds you say something like "Only Isai could do that, I wish I could give him a BJ."

sir, do you have any decency? if someone wants you to stop doing something you should do it. This isn't about what is right or wrong its about respect.
That didn't come out right, if someone told me to stop typing right now I just might tell them to lick my *** if you ask me LOL! But srsly, if you don't want people to see your livestream don't do it then. No one gives a **** if you're good or not, the only time I DO watch your vids is when I'm bored, I could care less to try to comment and **** ride you. I know some people will but hey, take Justin Bieber for example. And also, I never did really understand the difference between "Malva" and "Isai" they seem about the same to me. Just throwing my opinion out there.

Andrew beasted this thread/stream with his mad recording skills.

Although in all seriousness I don't see why someone recording your stream is reason enough to stop it. There's so many other and better options like asking them to stop, and if they don't banning them. Problem solved. Or you could shut down your entire stream punishing not just the person doing it but also everyone else who was watching it. Doesn't seem like the optimal way to punish him honestly ...

I am kinda taking sides. At least from the knowledge that is currently in this thread the streams got shut down when Isai found out he was recording. So far no one has said if Isai just asked him or even told him to stop before quitting the stream nor was there any good reason given why Isai couldn't just ban him if he really didn't want the videos saved.

Overall it seems like the more videos the better especially if it's high level play. I don't see any real way it could hurt the community/Isai/ the person Isai was playing while it also could have a positive effect on the community. So yeah good idea Andrew too bad it didn't work out :/.

Lol it was actually going great until the chat was getting larger, and some one asked "is any1 recording", and I said yeah I am with commentary so then Isai paused and he's like GAH I don't want this on video so he went offline.

Yeah, I'm not that into the SSB64 scene (I would be if I had some way of connecting my GCN controller to my computer...), but I must say this andrewajt62 is just one type of human genitalia. Go for Lady GaGa and be both if you want.

Your arguments are as dumb as saying "Oh, hey, I know you spent a couple of years animating this movie for a one-time showing for a private audience, Mr. Hayao Miyazaki, but I'm just going to record it, put my own voices on it, and call it my own. And I'll distribute it to the public. Oh, it's okay. I'm doing a favor for the world. You don't have to worry."

I think what he did is like what commentators do in professional melee tournament matches, they record it with commentary, and upload it to their youtube channel. I don't think a game of super smash brothers is like a movie in this sense.

Except in those tournaments, the players know that they are being recorded, and they are ok with it.

@mastermoo: Ok first of all what happened here is nothing even similar to a movie. A movie tends to take hundreds of people and hours to coordinate and the content being created then belongs to the creator. SSB64 was not created nor does it belong to Isai or Andrew they are both 3rd parties in this case.

@ yoshipro: I agree this is nothing like a movie and is significantly more similar to someone recording melee.

@puu: It's true that the right thing to do would have been to get Isai's permission before recording, but 2 wrongs don't make a right and the reaction he gave while it does solve the problem it also defeats the purpose of his entire stream idea.

I still have yet to see a good reason of why he didn't just ban the person or ask them to stop.

I think asking him to stop is out of the question. He clearly is going to do whatever he wants, as he has put the videos up (and promoted them on at least 3 threads, long after Isai said he doesn't like the videos), and isn't going to delete them I assume.

But I agree with the first idea (as I said earlier), ban his IP from the livestream, and keep on streaming. I really enjoyed the matches with Yoshi, learned a lot from them.

This is not a debate about whether videos are a good thing or a bad thing. Its about calling out a prick with no manners. A respectable member of the community does not want you post his stream and yet you posted it anyway and claimed that its your property. All you are doing is riding the fame and skill of someone else for your own benefit. I just hope you like the three videos you made because now I can't watch Isai play anymore. Thanks man. And thanks for helping the community.

If the commentary was good that would be one thing- rude, but understandable. But it sucks *** to the extreme.

"Yoshi's actually a pretty good character. I'm sure Isai will be able to Double-Jump Cancel"

"Ness is probably gonna have trouble recovering"

"I don't think any other DK could have done that" (after a fairly basic spike)

"Sorry about the commentary"

No understanding of the game whatsoever- let me guess, you play barwl a lot?

I'm just gonna say this- If you recorded a match that I was playing, put it up after I asked you not to, and refused to take it down, I'd be pissed as hell. You're a humongous dickwad, and I say that as a dispassionate observer.

This has dragged on way too long. There's no point in arguing on the internet, no one is ever going to give in and say, "I was wrong and you were right", just forget it

Ok so after thoroughly analyzing this topic I figured out who is on which side

It's cheeseball, andrew, ballistics, agent 21, felipe on one side and they are arguing against rpotts, puu, Yoshipro, mastermoo, battlecow while Zero Saber and L1ON seems to be the neutral party

may the best side win

You should create another account and let it be known to a handful of people only, problem solved.

If I had to choose sides I would pick andrewajt62's side, not gonna suck up to Isai even though I don't agree with his arguments. There also seems to be a lotta supporters in the comments of his vids

We should create crews, the Prorecordingisailivestreamwithcommentary and the nonrecordingisailivestreamwithcommentary and have crew matches

fixed. only person in the wrong here is you. you recorded and uploaded videos of two players without their consent and you've made it clear that you won't take them down. nobody is really upset over it but you're kinda a douchebag.
