Who do you guys think was a better teams player, Isai in his prime, or Android?

I think Isai was a better team player than Android. Him and Ken were pretty much unstoppable until Isai dripped out of the Melee scene.

Isai was something else. It's already been pointed out numerous times that he was far beyond what anyone had seen in that time. Not only was he very technical (shield drops and haxdashes in 2005?) but also he was just an amazing force in teams, considering how well he did with Ken.

Isai was amazing at Melee and better than Android in both Singles and Doubles.

I think all around Android's awareness is better. I mean, I remeber seeing him save Armada out of rest or something stupid crazy. Isai was a beast though for his time.

Yeah I agree. Isai was insane for his time, no doubt. But come on guys, it's 2015. The meta game has advanced a lot. Android is doing things we definitely haven't seen from Isai.

To be fair, the question didn't really specify what meta.

Obviously Android has much more to pull from.

Gonna go with Android, why? Because Isai was a top player. Android is not part of the top 6, some would even argue he is not even part of top 20. But when he sits down and teams up with Armada he becomes unstoppable and can all of a sudden rival the top 6. That alone says something about his skill in teams.

Isai was better during his prime. He was not only the best in doubles, but one of the best in singles (before sandbagging of course). Android is probably the best in doubles and one of the best in singles in Europe (he's probably top 10), but not one of the best in the world in singles.

EASILY Isai.

IMO Isai is the greatest smash player to ever pick up a controller. If he had put his 100% focus into melee and was still playing, even players like Mango or Armada would have no chance.

If the question was "who was better for their time" or "who is more talented" the answer would obviously be Isai.

But that's not the question. The question is who is better. And the answer is obviously Android precisely because he has a lot more to pull from. If you put Isai in his prime and Android into a modern bracket and gave both of them the same partner, Android would definitely go farther.

It depends on what partner you give them. If you give Android a teams player from 10 years ago, their styles would clash and they wouldn't have a strong psynergy. Same goes for Isai and a modern player.

EDIT: Also, comparing a Shiek v. Falcon in teams is obviously going to be in the Shiek's advantage, seeing as Shiek is Falcon's second hardest counter in the game.
