Is Wuhu Island Deconfirmed?

Wuhu Island seems like an obvious stage to add. Does this mean it will not appear or will it be like Daisy's Cruiser in Double Dash where it's in the background of a stage but also a stage?

Most likely not gonna be a stage for itself, it's not like Pilotwings warrant 2 stages either way.

Wuhu Island appeared in Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit U, and Mario Kart 7 so it's just a basic Nintendo Stage.

I think the Pilotwings stage take the flight to SNES island, N64 island (I hope), and 3DS island (Wuhu Island). I like that we are fighting on the wings of the biplane... it seems like a simple stage... it is probably a legal stage for tourney play (hopefully).

Given that you're fighting on a plane, chances are you'll fly around to various places. A Nintendo island stage would be awesome if they truly ran with it by including places like DK Isle and Isle Delfino as some of the plane's destinations.

That's not a bad idea. I'd like to see DK Isle from DK64 as a destination.

I think that due to the Pilot wings Stage itself being nothing but flat ground, Wuhu Island is probably and most definitely a destination in this stage as it is in Pilotwings Resort and would make the stage fun instead of bland.

It's in Pilotwings Resort for the 3DS so it is, in fact, connected with Pilotwings.

Yeah, but Wuhu Island originated in Wii Fit and next appeared in Wii Sports Resort and it was also in Mario Kart 7... all those games have Mii as playable characters. IMO, this increases the likelihood of Mii being playable in Smash... maybe Mii will use the rocket belt as Up B recovery.

Mii's pretty much a lock at this point anyways. I think there's more of a chance of Sakurai revealing that he's actually a woman than Mii not being playable in SSB4.

In sense, Pilotwing (SNES) is landing and taking off platform so the major attention should be mostly on Wuhu Island since I'm pretty sure that it could be Mii's stage. Since the leak/rumor pointed at Mii being playable character.

I kinda hope the Pilotwings N64 island is part of that stage... it would be fun to see that Mount Rushmore with Mario's face... and maybe the biplane crashes on Mario's face and it turns into Wario's face?

It looks really nice. If it switched between the three islands, it could potentially be really neat.

Sakurai did mention he thought miis were gimmicky. You can marry him if he is still a guy.
