wavedashing is out due to the air dodge mechanism. you now stall in the air. No control of direction. It was because of the direction control we were able to create the angle needed to abuse the game engine and "slide" across the ground.

and im hearing but have not seen that l-canceling is out or auto triggered. as in-you fast fall-attack- auto lcacnel.

i ahve also heard it: jump-fastfall-attack- l/r/z

was it removed, gimpy said it still worked at E for all, but I haven't heard anything since...
He said L-canceling was in, but different. He never said wavedashing was in. And that is not in anymore either.

I thought I saw some wavelands in a few videos, so maybe wavedashing could be in.... I'll find out for sure in about 3 to 5 days (as my game shipped)....

waveladning is done by doing an aerial close to the ground. if i udnerstand correctly, the game engine cancels out the attack animation and instead slides your charcter in the direction of your momentum.

Ireland. . . anyone?
@ Epsilon52 - that's wrong, air-dodging now sends you in the direction you were moving before the dodge. it doesn't make you stall mid-air

And according to Gimpy wavelanding can be achieved by using certain aerial attacks just before you hit the ground i.e. Mario's Bair, and lag-cancelling is achieved by fastfalling before the attack

It should be obvious to everyone why waveLANDING is possible but waveDASHING is not. From a standing position, you had to jump and quickly air dodge "into" the ground. We no longer have control of the direction of our air-dodge. We simply maintain whatever momentum we had in our jump when we press the air-dodge button. This explains why wavelanding should still be possible because when you're moving towards the ground, your air dodge will send you into the stage since that's the way you're already moving.

To my knowledge it is out.
L-cancelling in the traditional way is out, apparently FF reduces some lag (unconfirmed).
Wavelanding is possible, but needs to be perfected.

Wait a few years and you'll have a load of new advanced techs.
