Hmm..Even with this, there should be no one going around saying that they are confirmed playable characters. Even if it seems really obvious, it still isn't stated, and thus can turn up as wrong later on.

QFT. And who's to say that they're playable. Shiek could easily be part of Link's "personal histrory". Sheik would be like palutena is to pit. Just there to say Link save blah blah blah. And ganondorf villan anybody, but I hope he is playable. As for sheik, eh I don't really care.

Ya, the pic on the Smash website with Peach just may be part of the storyline, doesn't confirm her as a playable character (but come one, you really think she won't be coming back?). I didn't think I'd be the first to read that news story. He says that he submitted character models for Link, Shiek, and Ganondorf and that they've had to alter them a little bit (which would mean to me that they are being used to some degree). Shiek could be part of the that new story mode, too. But I'm sure Ganondorf will be playable.

I find it to be an odd coincedence that the only special we haven't really seen from Zelda is her down-B. As much as I hate to say it, I have a feeling that Sakurai was holding off on showing it until he revealed Sheik.

I could be (and hopefully am) wrong.

He's been the designer of every Zelda game since Ocarina of time.

I don't understand why people think that only one Zelda game can be represented in Smash. If the FE stage represents all FE games, then why can't Zelda represent all Zeldas and Link represent all Links?

I was pretty confident that Sheik would return. Sheik was one of the most popular SSBM characters, and Sakurai seems to pay attention to what the fans want.

I still like the idea of making Young Zelda/Tetra a Zelda/Sheik clone, even though most people probably don't.

Yeah, I know. Someone pointed that out to me earlier.

I don't disagree about the whole "Sheik can be in" thing, but...I hated the fact no one played Zelda and you would be shunned if you ever suggested it to a Sheik player. They should be interdependent.

In the new snippet video he posted on the Dojo, he showed Zelda using her Up + B, so its safe to assume that three of her attacks are the same, at least.

I still believe shiek will come back though.

Why? Sakurai isn't stupid, even if it was just for tournament play, shiek and everything about him was loved in brawl by many, many players. Eliminating a character who was so well received, seems to be a stupid move. On that line, I also think that marth is back in, but roy will see the axe.
