Would it be possible to make the stage editor (Either in game or a simulator program) to allow stretching of pieces like you see on the occasional hack video, that everyone could use instead of a select few that know how to hex and have the time to do so?

Can I ask why?
Stage blocks and sizes are predefined in the Brawl disc itself (I'll have to double check), unless you have a USB Gecko like mofo said, there is no code that'll change it :ohwell:

Is there a tutorial available somewhere so I can learn how to stretch pieces? I've been very interested in this for awhile now, but I didn't want to make a thread just to ask.

Thanks

Well, Xane and the others say that that will be the next thing that will be able to be done in stage studio. However I think they've given up hope, I don't think I've seen an update on that thing in months.

Well we have SD cards which could work with the right file replacements.

Also what about making a program that could do it?

There is a program you can get for PC that lets you build stages for non-hacked Wiis, and you can do things in it like place blocks closer together than normal (or on top of each other), go over the normal block count limit, and use the extra piece that never made it into the final game. I forgot what it's called or where to find it, but I used to have it so I know it does exist... I lost it when my old computer crashed.

PizzaBoy used to have his forums for stage editing w/ the USBGecko but it got taken down since it became unpopular..

and for those who don't know....PizzaBoy is the guy who first hacked custom stages and got the stage ID's and such...

you can see him on his twitter account @SCUPizzaBoy iirc...and ask how to edit stage pieces

@tnemrot yeah PiaazBoy posted it on his forums about chatting w/ Xane about the project....im sure pizzaboy worked w/ Xane ( and Heinermann? )on it and that they tried to incorporate stretching
