Is this a decent poke?

I'm thinking of running Infernape as a physical sweeper on my team.
So far the move set I have planned for it is

Close Combat
Flare Blitz
Thunder Punch
Overheat

The first two are for STAB, Tpunch is for type coverage, and Overheat is for physical walls and STAB.

My second question.

Is Choice Band a good idea for this poke. My friends suggested Life Orb and Choice Band, but I don't like the idea of losing any more hp then I already have to on Flare Blitz.

i sometimes use infernape

mine has a bit of a different moveset : swords dance, u-turn (attacks, then switches out of battle), earthquake, and flare blitz

choice band wouldn't be good for him......neither would life orb......mine has leftovers

Swords Dance
Flare Blitz
Close Combat
Stone Edge/Thunderpunch

Jolly(Spd+ SA-)
EVs: 252atk/232spd/24hp
Expert Belt

Either way, Salamence and Gyarados will stop you with their resistance to Flare Blitz and Close Combat, so Stone Edge or Thunderpunch gets rid of them. With Expert Belt, you can guarantee a OHKO on Salamence and Gyarados even after Intimidated.
