Is there an efficient way to improve fast?

I hope this is the correct category to ask such a question. But what the hell is a efficient way to improve? I played every Smash game pretty casual like. But I had no problem at all to beat Classic Mode in 9,9 in Smash on Wii U while I struggle with 8,0+ on the new title.. Same with the unlocks, the last 4 missing chars (Dark Pit, Mega Man, Wolf and Mewtu) keep beating the **** out of me. In online I'm already down to ~25k Smash rating and I have no idea whats wrong. I tried it with my previous "mains" but to be honest as I started, I wanted to learn a new Char but the fails all the time against CPU's and in low smash rating is kinda disappointing and frustrating. :/

Smash is one of the easiest fighters ever. Drop the joycons if u use them and use a GC or SWITCH controller. play like a lvl 9 CPU with the brain of an actual human player. Predict your opponent with smash attacks (if u know your opponent is gonna dodge roll left then predict with a forward smash) and spam projectiles for safe damage and advantages. Jumping is your best friend always use nair attack to go in on your opponent. Fast fall is your best friend too always use it. Never stay still either. Always do something or just move. Air dodging is not your friend only air dodge when its obvious your opponents trying to hit you otherwise if u get launched just move your floating character away from them. I use ness so if im launched ill float away from them and shoot a diagonal pk fire to hit them so i can land.

Use training mode and just play around with your character so u can get a feel. Remember to play like a lvl 9 cpu but with the mind of a human.

To unlock hard characters spam projectiles and use nair attacks and just flick the c stick smash attacks and hope u get lucky with a finishing hit

To add to RepStar's comment, keep playing people better than you while keeping an eye out for how they play. It's a waste of time to watch if you won't take notes. Notice how their movement leaves them in a good position to react to yours. How they position themselves to avoid your fighter's strengths. Little thins like that result in a good player.
