Considering there's only one way to wavedash (technicalities aside), no. Keep practicing though and it'll become second nature easy.

practice wavedashing on slopes first like the one on corneria then as you improve go to less steep slopes

only go up the slopes!
and when you press r/l press it
all the way in and release it fast

Why not go down the slopes? it's harder to do, so you know you're doing it better. And true. RELEASE L/R ASAP.

Yeah.. I have that question, can you wave dash down a slope greater than 45 degrees? Say Yoshi's Story (pipes).

Totally understandable. Falco's wavedash is one of the hardest ones, I think.

The best way, just like any other character, is to just do it over, and over, and over. Training mode is great. Just sit there, and wavedash while you're talking on the phone or something.

I honestly wouldn't learn it through training mode in slow motion, nor would I learn it on slopes because then you have to readjust so much. I have to adjust my wavedashing with fox right now because I can't go quite far enough to shine combo anyone but Link.

just practice it... seriously that's all you can do. Someone once related wavedashing to some martial arts, and how when punching you pull back right away. While I found it ridiculous, I attempted pulling my finger up quicker, as if I wee tapping instead of pressing the buttons, and it really helped.

Learn to wavedash with Luigi first. After him, Mewtwo. Then Marth, Roy, Samus, Mario... then try Falco again. If you work your way from slippery *** Luigi to the more rigid Falco, you may have an easier time. And like other people said, do this in training mode and fool with the speed setting.

you know there are only so many wavedash timings, for instance, luigi, mewtwo, marth, roy, and mario all have the same timing, Peach, falco, and the other 6 frame jumpers are all the same. Timing doesn't have anything to do w/ traction. But the best way, is to practice w/ falco. If you only get a jump, you're doing it to fast, if you get an air dodge/ triangle jump, you're doing it to slow (what i mean by too fast/slow is the relation of R/L to x/y).
