Is there a way to guess a nine?

If there's a thread send me to that, but what are the chance? Is it one out of nine or really uncommon?

in smash 4, it is completely random. there are videos of people getting five 9s in one game. i personally don't see that many in my games, but i have yet to properly give glory to the game & watch gods so that they will look favorably upon my hammer.

edit: so yes, it's a 1 out of 9 chance every time.
