Is there a Melee scene in DC?

Just wondering because I'll most likely be visiting my relatives sometime this summer and I'd love to meet and play the DC smashers

I haven't heard much DC in regards to Melee (I'm from Canada), thus the reason why I made this thread. Are you out there? Does a Melee scene exist? Does this thread even belong in Atlantic North? To be honest, I'm looking to visit during a weekend when a tourney is being hosted haha, are there even any? Thanks! ;D

Md/Va has some melee tourneys. I think Chu is hosting some on fridays
