is there a difference between training and brawls?

ok so i think most of you know that when u drop a nade and grab your opponent u receive dmg but theres no knockback (dsmash works for this as well.)

i saw a vid on this in TRAINING.

so i tried it in training and it worked. so then i went against a lvl 1 to train.....but when i tried the move IT DIDNT WORK!!!

WTF SAKURAI!!! WHY DID U MAKE IT DIFFERENT? did he really make it different? or am i doing somethin wrong? (which i really dont think i did)

please reply. i want to see if this is working for others as well.

1) Switch controller ports to 2 or higher.
2) Have the computer hold a port lower than yours.
3) ??????
4) Profit.
