Is jab1 to grab a thing with peach in this game?

i find myself in situations where i would like to do so but i press A>Z for the grab but i still get jab1>jab2. i try crouching after jab1 and before pressing Z but still no luck.

is it timing related or did they just make it impossible?

well technically, you can wait for the animation to end and then grab but it's so slow that it will never work on anyone with half a brain. it's only interruptible by jab2, which makes it terrible for mixups they already increased the hitbox size for jab2 (thank you sakurai) but we need jab1 to end MUCH faster… sorry, tangent. anyways, no, you can't lol.

Yeah, dude… I wish peach had a more solid grab game :/ but i guess she makes up for it with her versatility and kill power ^^

Jab > grab took a shotgun to the face, its nearly impossible to really get away with.
