Is it worth getting an HDMI adapter for the Wii?

Hey, wasn't sure where to ask about this, but I recently got my Wii back and the AV cables are kinda messed up. The screen has weird green lines going through it, so I wanted to replace it with an HDMI adapter I found on amazon. But I was wondering, does it actually make it look better? Or does it simply stretch the pixels to fit the screen.

Here is the adapter:

Just wanted to know if anyone has something like this and if you would recommend me getting it.

Thanks.

It just says in the description: "will upscale to 720p / 1080p". You'll have the advantage of HDMI generally delivering a more pleasing image than AV, but there's limits. This article uses another adapter, but I guess this is sort of the improvement you can expect:

Detail the console does not produce in the first place will not be invented by the adapter. Your adapter looks awfully cheap though.

Well it's just a random adapter I seen on Amazon. I looked at the adapter here and I don't really want to spend 60 bucks on an adapter alone, but I actually found this as well:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2118394622&pf_rd_i=desktop

It's only 4 bucks and says it supports 720 and 1080p. Not sure if that means it can upscale the image though. Thoughts?
