Is it really necessary to learn the 0 death combos

I'm looking to start olimar, i've been a fan of his games but it seems like alot to take in.

Any combo that can take an opponent from zero percent to death is something worth learning, but it's not necessary to learn. Olimar is one of the few characters who can consistently pull off huge combos that take an opponent from zero to sixty-plus percent, but I don't think there are even zero to death combos, unless you include a spike at the end. Just make sure you learn to full utilize Olimar and his abilities. Personally, I perfer to use Pikmin to build up damage since they are most effective while your opponent is at a lower percentage. Then, I start using combos while my moves are still fresh and able to do the most damage. You might as what kind of combos can you do when your opponent already has damage, but Dthrow -> UpAir is usually always usuable.
