Is it possible to play project m without a phsysical copy of brawl?

I use an hdd to load brawl, I have a softmodded wii. is there a way i can play project m using only this? I have two sd cards both 4gb i have project m on riivolution but it asks me for a physical copy of the game(disc) in order to launch the hack and it wont accept a backup copy to load it (riivolution is meant to be that way a far as i read) help please! If this is an inappropiate question sorry but i dont know where to ask. thanks!

You can't use Riivolution with USB loaders. Set up your SD card just like you would with Gecko and find out how to use your USB loaders Occarina/Code launcher and use Project M's GCT with that.

Provided you own a copy of Brawl of course.
