well people with emulators and good internet/computer could run ssbm in 40-50 fps so almost as much as game cube.

my computer can run it but still need to by the gamecube slot to usb converter.

are emulators the only way?

i wouldn't mind

its just i don't wanna buy a converter (even though i already have a PSX/2 and N64 and a SNES controller converter)

and my computer probably wouldn't be able to run it

i dont see why people keep asking if melee can be played online.

1. theres a million and one threads about this topic.

2. yes. yes it can.

3. it can. but not if u expect to be playing like you do at tournaments.
the game NEEDS to be run at 60 fps.
end of discussion. =p

It is possible, but something terrible has happened to everyone who has tried it. I don't buy any superstitious stuff, but it has already happened to 13 people, and 13 is an unlucky number. I would stay away.
What is this diabolical thing that has happened?

Yes, there is.

Gamecube Online Adapter that you buy to play Phantasy Star Online for GCN made it possible.

Packets for online made it very unplayable. Characters would zing back and forth like crazy birds.
