The original Super Smash Bros will be released on Virtual Console the week of Brawl's release? That would be Pretty cool.

That seems likely, actually. No reason why not, and if they're ever going to release it, it would make sense to do it before Brawl comes out.

I'd love for it to be on VC, since that was the first game that I ever played. I can't wait for that either, but my i can't wait for Brawl more than the SSB:VC.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did release 64 on virtual. They did a similar thing with Metroid Corruption. A little bit before it came out... metroid and super metroid hit the VC. It's really smart and it makes sense. I for one do not have my 64 here at college. I did however bring melee and use the wii for that. Can't go old school though.... yet.

It does make for good PR, but on a side note, I know that Super Mario RPG will make it to VC.

I would bet my life it happens within a three week range of Brawls release.

I say about a month be for release.

My reason is simple. Make it avaliable for download. Someone does it and loves it, and never heard of Smash before. He gets into Smash, and goes to buy Melee. He finds out Brawl is coming in a few weeks. He joins SmashBoards and gets Premium. He then posts in this thread not knowing he was the one I'm talking about. The cycle starts again.

It's been said before... and yes, I'm guessing so. Apparently, they are going to have a channel for it, just like Metroid's. (Hopefully for Galaxy, too.). Which will allow them to sale SSB64 on VC!

The Preview Channel would probably be nothing more then cinematics and footage of fighting. It would be a serious doubt if they included some form of gameplay into it.

Oh, I didn't mean anything about gameplay. lol. I actually enjoyed the channel... for what it was worth. Any new info, even if it's just a few days away from release, is good for me. But I was just saying if they'd release a channel along with SSB64, it'd be a good move.

of course it would! But I have to tell you, most of the really good info, like the remaining 3rd party characters, will be revealed around early December, for those who've lingered longer.

All I know is... it would be sweet if they modified certain VC games to be online playable... for someone who wants to challenge friends that aren't close to them... maybe something with the wii friends list... I don't know... it would be cool to play games like mario kart 64 or smash 64 that way. How much effort would something like that take?

That would take a large amount of effort. Besides, I don't think Miyamoto wants to change any of those games, at all.

Believe me or not, the updates seem to be based on the VC a little. Lucas was updated on the same day as import titles! I'd expect every character to have their game on the VC before Brawl's release.

I've been hoping for Super Smash Bros. on Virtual Console since I was standing in line for my Wii. I have yet to purchase the other 10 games I want to download, but Smash easily takes precedence over all of them (unless Mario RPG is released). I think it will make it by Brawl's release. Nintendo is smart.

Maby they could put the original on the VC but with all the characters who got cut due to time constraints.
It probobly won't happen but I can hope.
