Is it just me, or does Ganon's >B scream for some super armour?

I mean, I just tried him again today on a whim. I was(still kinda am) in the boat that says he sucks from Melee to Brawl, but no matter how much he sucks, he's still a fun character to screw around with. But I keep getting the feeling that that move needed super armour. Anyone with me on this?

Rushing to an opponent, grabbing their throat, and choking the **** out of them is badass, but when you do it while nullifying their attacks, well, then you're just awsome.

To add to the idea, and to shut up all the complaints about Ganon's lag(to be fair, it is true), some super armour on a few other attacks as well could help. Why should Ike and only a few others be privvy to this wonderful thing?

I'm pretty sure G-dorf's Forward B has super armor on it (most likely after you grab someone, so you can't get hit by a grenade maybe). Also, ALL grabs have priority over attacks, which resembles SA.

But yeah, Ganondorf could've used some SA frames. Murder Fist and Murder Kick would be even more awesome this way, and maybe some on fair would've been cool.

Yeah. Technically, don't you and your victim both have super armor. I mean, you just stand there holding them up by their face like a human shield.

Ya, sometimes when I'm messing around with my friend who is poor at Smash we play team battles against the computer. It is always hilarious when I get an over-b off and he just rails on the computer for a good 30-40 damage.

I think it might be a little later than the initial grab. Someone complained in another thread about Nana hitting them out of side-B.

I don't think aerial has super armor (at least.. for Ganondorf, hehe), otherwise Lava Ganoncide would kill you too, but it doesn't.

U-Tilt has Super Armor at the point Ganondorf drops his heel towards the ground. I'm quite sure of this.

...Unfortunately that doesn't help U-Tilt all that much...

I have a video on Aero Port Dive (or whatever it's called) of as soon as I grab this Kirby on the ground, about 10 cars hit us, soaring our damage up about 120 each, but neither of us move. It's pretty sweet to watch.

My point is, the SA is from when the person is grabbed, to when they're thrust from Ganon's grasp, as stated by the Flying Dutchman.

Perhaps, but maybe it can springboard into something more productive. This thread in General, as well as the various accounts of people in this one saying that their Flame Chokes have lasted significantly longer periods than normal, leads me to believe that Ganon won't always explode his opponents heads immediately after grabbing. Does he in fact use them as a meat shield? If he's trapped in a hurtbox when his SA activates, will he keep it up until the hurtbox ends?

The applications in a 1 vs. 1 wouldn't be too great unless (Toon) Link's bomb was about to detonate, or the damage Ganon takes is also dealt to an opponent, but the 2 vs. 2 and FFA possibilities are somewhat exciting.

This thread was created to discuss what might have been regarding Ganondorf's over b, which is a completely uselss discussion, considering the game is out and no amount of hoping is going to change the gameplay mechanics.

Now if he had tested the over b doing varous things and found something interesting, that would be an entirely different scenario.

This board is for discussing the CURRENT BRAWL Ganondorf, techiques, and strategies. Topics about Ganon's cool beard serve no purpose but to waste space.
