Hm...meh.
Is it a KIND thing? Is it a THOUGHTFUL thing? Yes, definitely.
But, and no offense to his memory, that doesn't really make him a hero. I feel bad for him, but he didn't physically do anything, really. He got a movement started by making his final wish to feed the homeless, and if he had been well he might've done this himself, but he didn't. It's what you do, not what you say. It would be easy for me to say I want to do tons of things, but a lot of them I wouldn't/couldn't actually do.
And...I don't mean to necessarily say that he didn't really mean that, but it's all on-camera. There's nothing saying he really did that by himself, for all we know his parents might've suggested it to him.
I know this post probably sounds really callous...and I don't mean to insult his memory at all, but I'm just not prepared to necessarily say he's a "hero" for wishing to feed the homeless when there are many who work to feed the homeless every day. He's an honorable person, a good person, and my best wishes go out to his family. I just think "hero" is a little strong of a term for him.
