I can live with a tiny imperceptible amount of input lag. I've been using the Gamepad since I got the thing, in lowest brightness and power-saving mode. Works like a charm and lasts 4-5 hours. I've just never felt a need to buy additional accessories (Wii U Pro included), and I don't go to tourneys. I've gotten used to it and now find it superior to the GameCube pad. Anyone else just sticking with a Gamepad, Pro Controller, or their old Wiimotes/nunchuks?
Yeah I'll be using the gamepad, but can't ya see how its beneficial to lots of people to have a gamecube controller adapter?
Pro controllers cost $50 each, gamecube controllers are less than half the price. The adapter and 3 gamecube controllers might actually be cheaper than a single pro controller, and you'll never have to worry about charging them! Plus, many people used gamecube controllers for all 3 smash bros games on the wii.
The pro controller boasts an 80 hour battery life, the wireless gamecube controllers can last for over 100 hous but they don't have a rumble feature. Also, if everyone went to a tournament with wireless gamecube controllers, there would be noticeable interference because they can only broadcast from 16 different radio waves, I've never seen wiimotes and pro controllers interfere with eachother but everyone seems to think that they'll cause too much interference if used at a tourney as well.
I'm glad that the game is still compatible with wii motes and nunchuck, because pretty much everyone on the planet has a wiimote+nunchuck lyin around somewhere.
