Basically, it is a Pokemon-esque game where instead of catching monsters with a Pokeball, you capture them via PSP camera. Which makes it more of an environmental interaction type game. It seems as if it is going to be an overhyped game considering it is Pokemon with a twist, but who knows? Some of the reviewers are saying it is a good way to get away with playing a kid game, which is what Pokemon is.

I think it would be a hassle, yet fun at the same time, like Boktai on the GBA with the solar-reader. Comments, anyone?

PSP has a Camera? Let me rephrase that, PSP has a camera and STILL no Dual Analog Sticks? It gets a camera, but not a second Analog stick?

  • Use the PSP Camera to hunt down invisible animals and capture them
  • Pit the Invizimals against each other or enjoy multiplayer fights with friends
  • Learn new attacks, power up, and evolve your Invizimals
  • Trade Invizimals and magical items with friends ad hoc or online

So Invizimals teaches you to become a poacher?

It does sound a bit like Pokemon.

Edit: Strike that, they're invisible animals.

I heard about that.

These gimmicks kinda make games fun, although they are quite ********.

Well, what really attributed to Pokemon's success was the fact that the Gameboy was so widely known and owned. By the time that the original games were launched, a great number of people owned a Gameboy, and because of this absolute popularity, so many more then bought a Gameboy just to experience this phenomenon.

Invizimals will not succeed anywhere near Pokemon's popularity because the PSP is not and never will be on the level of the Gameboy.
