International Smash Players Fund
Hello! My name is Nicknyte, if it wasn't apparent. My real name is Elvis, no joke.
In lieu of recent events, I am sad to say we have had quite a few angry people unhappy with a tournament I shall not mention. Lets say things didn't go well as it should have. At all.
Normally, most people, at least in the states, can get through with it and get ready for the next tournament.
But what about those who aren't from the US?
Armada, Amsah, Faab, etc. all came here from Newfoundland in order to play at the tournament, but recieved news that no money was given out. Noted, Amsah and Fab didn't win, but Armada did. After spending a couple grand to get here, he was unable to recieve his prize money for Second place.
It's a shame really. I know many people may say "Why should I care?" "I didn't take his money?" But this fund is not based on fairness. It is based on the kindness of your heart.
It isn't fair those before this fund was unable to get reprirations (cant spell) for flying here and winning and going home empty handed. It isn't fair that the others at the tournament also didn't recieve the pot as well, but for those who flew 20 hours over the Atlantic and sometimes the Pacific, its even worse. They lose a bigger margin of funds.
This fund is also a sort of Good Players Fund, but only for the International Community. If you feel the need to help our Non-US Smashers, then feel free.
So I ask you, if you feel compelled to help, please donate. Mind you, this fund is for everyone OCONUS, so Hawaii and Alaska is part of this fund as well.
Currently, with the fund, I am assisting Armada round up $600 with his brother with the "Lets help armada" Fund. We have raised 112.44.
