Intense Snake 1v1s *Videos Inside* feedback requested

Here are some 1v1s of me (MNTIS) playing some friendlies here at VT, got some tough competition here:

You've got a pretty good Snake imo. One thing I noticed was that you rarely use your up/down tilts. In the first vid with you vs. MK, you seem to have overlooked up-tilting despite the many opportunities given. Instead you would up smash and get punished =/. Looks like you are pretty handy with those 'nades and C4. I'd only suggest using them more, along with your Nikita as an edge-guard, and maybe a landmine here/there. Near the end of the MK fight, he seemed to spam the tornado move. This is when 'nade-sheilding comes in. It's a nice defense in general, especially against those d*** spammers like that. I'd also advise mortar-sliding a lot more .

Fixing up those small touches in your game should make you a really great Snake player. Hope to see more vids

Thanks, I hadn't played for several days before these were recorded and I feel I could have played a bit better. I've never been able to use the nikita really well for some reason.

Though, yeah. Too much Usmash. More tilts, less Usmash. XD

Also, try using your C4 when youre recovering and youre already high above the stage. Kinda pressures your opponent to not wait there for you to come down. Or, you can detonate your c4 once you see it going near your enemy as it drops down

To use the Nikita properly all you gotta do is plan a little, and anticipate. Like when you're edge-guarding, instead of directing the missile right at them, try to time cancelling/dropping the missile where they want to go. This throws a lot of people off =p

no nairs, i just picked up snake two days ago so no real advice, but i did notice you dont use the nair

if you use the mortar closer to the edge while it will drop past the ledge, only useful vs some characters but try it out

Hadn't thought of C4ing the moving platform of smashville. Mobile C4 is pretty scary.

Pretty sure you would've had pikachu with a nikita edgeguard.
