I think this would be cool, to capture that great Smash or something weird that happened while you were playing.

Opinions?

Yeah, after every game you would have the choice to replay the match. It would be cool, and you could save it to the Wii's non-existant Hard Drive.

I'm not quite getting your idea.
Replay as in, Soul Calibar version, where it shows your winning move / combo?
Or replay the match which you have just played.

Both would be good.
Watching yourself play is just fun to do, you can analyze what you did wrong, what you're strengths are, etc. Perhaps you could save to a disc, and then upload to your comp?

That'd make showing others your skill much easier.

sounds like a sports game...mabey, at the end of the match or something, if a button is pressed the instant replay will come up, or better, mabey controlled replays, so u can speed throug the broing stuff and slow speed/ pause and change camera angles at the cool parts or something, then again, who really needs it...

it would be cool to record the match and save it in the SD card, then upload it to youtube and such

Recording would be great. After seeing a Replay thing for Halo 3 multiplayer. It would make recording a match and putting it online easier. The SD card attachment on the Wii is something they should take advantage of.

As long as:
1. You can choose some sort of camera angle by yourself, and not have it zoom in on a certain charcter for no reason, or pan into stange angles.
2. You don't have to turn it on/off in the settings; after every game you should be asked if you want to save that game replay, otherwise you might have an amazing fight only to realise that the Instant Replay was turned off.

Took the words RIGHT out of my mouth.
I don't know HOW many times me and my friends were smashing and something happened or after the match ended and we were like "Ugh...should've recorded that."

Anyone know what I mean?

Thats when I want to take the controller and beat the pauser in the face numerous amounts of times.
Instant Replays get two thumbs up.

It would be nice to be able to review an entire match with free camera movement. This would allow for some wicked tournament match re-renders for combo videos or MLG broadcasts. :D

There's always the occasional picture which I lol at, but other then that, I mostly just disable pause.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! Happens all the time. Especially those WTF moments, those are the best.

I never thought about it too much, but now I'm looking forward too it. Hopefully, replay makes its way into the game.

It would be handy if you're not exactly in the mood to play, and just want to watch it, or as everyone's been sayin, to see a totally wicked part that happened in that match. I guess if you just wanted to watch it, that's what they made COM vs COM for... so yah, being able to see something that you did before that you liked/wanted to do again would be handy, and entertaining at some points XD
