Posting it here because it looks like it could really help Ganondorf, since his pivot grab actually has respectable range.

Basically, control stick one way, C stick and Z the other way really fast.

Like lol, Ganon's grab range should have been his pivot grab all this time srsly.

Dope. Thanks for sharing, Zomg. It's probably exploiting the same idea as the stutter step fsmash. I wonder if doing this with a forward grab would cause an instant dash grab with more range or something. I'm going to play with this later and if anything cool happens, I'll post it here.

Neither did I. Even in the original thread, a few people knew about it and thought it was standard, and a lot of people didn't. Either way, I'm excited.

So what what they're saying, Ganon's actual grab range basically doubles? And having a fixed slide distance removes any luck elements, and further adds to his range?

My question is, does it stay out longer or not? If so, it might be more useful to catch MK's and that who love going behind you. Still, I'll take any grab range increase over nothing :) .

lol if you could do this out of a walk, it'd be a useful 'approach'

Defensively (vs approaches), you're better off doing the retreating pivot grab.

I think it stays out a bit longer compared to his Standing Grab. It looks like it, but I am not 100% sure.

I had a quick test of this versus the Pivot grab, and from what I saw this comes out slightly faster. Of course, it also looks a whole lot more strange. Can someone else verify the speed of this compared to the pivot grab? Also, I was testing this with C-Smash, but the people said on the other topic to use C-Attack. I think that either way is the same difficulty, but if I slip up I'd rather have the elbow connect rather then the foot.

I'm still getting used to this manuever, but I can only get it to work doing it with the shoulder buttons, not the Z button. Trying it towards the opponent only yields a regular grab as far as I've noticed, but the pivot appears slightly quicker. However, I see no slide. Maybe I am doing this wrong. As far as I've seen, doing it the way I do, a short hop air dodge past the opponents attack into the pivot grab is the only approachable strategy. Otherwise its defense all the way.
