Inspiration and Advice need

Yeah, playing ic's for me is a thrill, i'm decent, and might even consider myself good =P
butt... when i play my brother who mains marth, i always loose. and not to be hard on my brother but he isnt very big on the skill technique.
He usually just camps and f smashes , or dash attack, then back roll, then trys again =(

Any advice?

if he dash attacks, shield grab. if he camps, wavedash with your shield up. after he f-smashes grab or wd outta shield if he's outta reach. follow his rolls with smashes or jab-grabs.

get really far away from spot dodge, hold the b button so nana will ice block, then alternate even ice blocks until he runs and you, at this point hold your shield and wait for him to attack it and hit a to grab him, then hit your c stick forward, repeat until you win or he learns that he can grab you.

Or if you know how to wavedash use what lep said, if you dont know how to wavedash use what I said until you do learn, if you dont want to learn to wd you should play as Sheik

Pretty much what i was going to say. ICs vs Marth is my best match-up due to all the practice i get against good marths and shielding his attacks is not only the best way to get up close to him, but completely shuts down those who are smash-happy. Also, ice block chase to grab always works on marth, unless he's camping with dtilt.

I do know how to WD but it seems he cc's whenever i try to iceblock chase, and he never lets me get enough room due to his willingness to only play Battlefield, so i dont have a chance to apply the de-sync ice block. I'll try wd grab, and etc. to see what happens

on battlefield, don't let marth go below you.
get him above you and do uairs if he's on the platform. Combine upthrow with grab and uairs to rack up damage and get in a good downsmash or a f-smash on him.
thats about all I do against my sister... she plays roy

I see thanks, although when i played my bro today i applied the same knowledge you gave me , but with bowser and i beat him the majority. I didnt get a chance to play with ic's =(

I've been forced to learn how to dash dance desync and up b desync becouse of these **** marths I play. Fair fair fair fair dtilt dtilt.... enough already >_>
