Input lag on Project M Dolphin

So i currently play project m on my dolphin emulator, and there is still a slight input lag when i play, its probably about .2 seconds or so, as a fox player, i need exact responses because as we all know, fox is a quick combo character. Now i fixed my settings from SDL to DINPUT which helped a lot, but there still is that little lag that only a serious smash player can catch. is there anything i can do to fix this? i know that when people play smash its normally on a old TV because they have no input lag, there perfect, i have my own old Panasonic tv which i use to play on until my wii broke, and that thing was to perfect, no lag, so does this have to do with the monitor i have? or another reason? i have a mayflash adapter and im using a wired GC remote so its not the wifi either. i also built my own computer and i have a very good processor and a Gcard so its neither of those as well. advice would be much appreciated.

It's probably your monitor. I have one with a 2 ms response time and don't notice a thing.
