Inhale windbox gimping?

While playing against a fox, I used inhale while off stage looking towards the stage, as he was recovering straight up with Firefox. When he went into the falling animation, my inhale pulled him far behind me where he couldn't grab the ledge.

Another time while fighting a Marth, I used inhale and unintentionally sent him offstage with the windbox.

Has anyone found a way to use the windbox consistently?

I haven't really found any consistent way to use the windbox but there are a few times I've messed with someones spacing while I had the thing out. It's very difficult to manipulate the way you want since it requires really good spacing along with having an optimal situation to do so.
