Indexing TGA files for CSPS and CBPS

i've been told to sometimes simply to index the files to 72 colors and 30 colors respective, but i've also read before that you should index the files to the original number of colors in the file. sometimes only 72 colors works for me, and somtimes the full range works. why is all of this?

Because you aren't manually hexing and there are issues with the program. Post it in the Q&A
