So, I only it played In The Groove twice so far... (its similar to DDR, known as Dance Dance Revolution, but hopefully you already know that) ... and I am only on Medium right now.

I want to get better, and want to know who else plays ITG/DDR or Similar Dance/Rhythm games and that also goes to smashboards.

Hey if you don't play it or haven't played it (at all or in some time) its no biggie. You can still discuss ITG/DDR and other dance games.

I'm also going try entering Tournaments for this as well. Right now I'm going to try a Standard Tournament, and try get to hard, and practice on that. : D

oh man ITG was all the rage a few years back when it first came out.

I remember though the timing on the game was slightly off and that created a little rage in the community.

Oh really? I guess there are many things we must try to live with, eh?

So I guess everyone got used to it?

I played DDR a lot back in the day. I was never really good relative to the high levels of play, but I was capable of passing every song on the hardest difficulty with at least a C.
I'm still decent, but not like I was.

Oh I see. I am intending on getting as good as I can get. :] Also because it is so fun.

Hmmm, thank you. I guess I should do that instead of trying to practice the ones I like. xD (Like Daikenkai or duel)

I've recently started playing DDR again. I'm doing it more for exercise than trying to get at tourney level. Back when I used to play a lot more, I actually won a DDR tourney. I think your timing is more important than memorizing songs (though that wouldn't hurt). It's all about how many perfects you get.

There's no ITG machine near me which makes me sad. I bought the ps2 version, but since I don't have a pad it's kinda pointless.

I play DDR for fun. I don't like the original ITG because the music and charts are really bland. I know you can customize it and make custom charts, and import all ddr charts, but ITG also attracts the worst of the worst in the rhythm game community. My local arcade has Extreme and Supernova2, and no ITG, and the only way it could be any better is if there was a max2...

Well I think I play ITG 2, but yeah. Worst of the worst? What do you mean by that?

I just go to a bowling alley and they have ITG2 and it has an ifinite timer, with only a cost of 50 cents.

theres a ton of bratty little ****s that play itg lol, they make fun of ppl for playing DDR or picking up their feet, despite many being a lot worse than me. i was on good terms with some pretty cool guys in an out of state itg community and played with them occasionally, but i saw a lot of pathetic elitist behavior from the sycophants in the group. its like, whatever happened to playing for fun? :urg:

Ah, I see. Lately I haven't seen any bratty people yet, but I wouldn't know because I haven't played on DDR. I don't really care though, I'd play on any machine, pump it up, ITG, DDR, doesn't matter to me. I play these because they are really fun, have to do with music, and are physical. :3

Also I'm not the type to make fun of people for playing a different game. I'd rather befriend the most people I can. If someone doesn't like me, they don't like me. Nothing I can do.
