Hi I main with Luigi. Thats all I main for now untill I get better. I really want to get better, can anyone suggest me some Veteran tips on it please? No links to other sites, threads etc. just tell me how to improve myself like What move should I use the best, what strategy W7 Luigi is good on what character, what move not to use, when to use a specific move.

Feel free to ask me questions like What CPU LVL can u take W/ Luigi or on what stage u best with him if that will be required for ur answer.

Thanx in Advance, MasterToshima!

We have a guide for this which is a sticky so perhaps you should look at that first. I'll tell you the moves you should definitly not use.

- Dash attack hands down it's a load of crap. It has so much starting and ending lag the last hit does the knockback but can be easily powershielded.

- Ftilt I wouldn't say that this move is useless but still good for spacing and if you've mastered the Ftilt lock *look at loucan's strats and discoveries* then it's still in good use. A good 2 Fairs and as you land , the Ftilt just comes right out.

In general, Luigi's moveset is balanced, and he uses most of his moves but at very different purposes and different situations. I'm not exactly which is and which is not a veteran tip, but I'll give my 2 cents. We do have a moveset discussion, talking about what each move does, how well it works in battle, how well it works for luigi's moveset etc

Yes that's what i mean

Edit: I just thought of other tips you could invest which I found today.

Mostly mindgames though.

- Jab and slightly walk away, it'll seem like your gonna do a firepunch but since you didn't they'll do a silly mistake, also while walking away, you can do a pivot grab since it increases your grab range

Another mindgame you can play with the shoryuken is shieldgrabbing your opponent after you go a jab combo. Usually, your opponent will predict a shoryuken after a two jab combo and try to powershield/shield it. Grabbing them instead will throw them off guard xD.

Later on in the fight you can use hippiedude92's idea: a quick jab and then walk away. My reasoning is that your opponent will now look for a grab OR a firepunch, so walking away and then a shorthopped aerial compensates for your opponent's preparedness.

That's all i have time to say, but there is a wealth of info on these barren boards, including a stickied guide, so i suggest you look over that as well.

Try to avoid CPU's if at all possible, they make you predictable. If your only source of training CPU's (low-lag wifi is better) train on 1's or 3's because they shouldn't mess you up as much. But in-person battles are best, even against someone you are much better/worse than.
