It already happened and it wasn't really EVO. They used to use the name on the past years but this time didn't. The tournaments were pretty big though, but the only smash game was Brawl, and you don't play it, do you? There will soon be a great Melee(Brawl and 64, too) tournament: November if I'm not mistaken. Let me know if you are interested.
