I just started using Snake and i think im getting good with him

For the mortar slide, a good way to learn it is to practice it in the wi-fi lobby (if you play online.), and eventually you'll get the timing for it. I mastered it in a few days with this.
But otherwise, yea, a vid would help greatly.

Try not to rush the mortar slide. Snake actually has a ridiculously huge window to do it in compared other characters. You want to do the Up-Z right as the animation for the dash attack starts.
As far as getting better with him, the biggest thing is learning EXACTLY how far his tilts will go. If you can hit with their max range, you can keep opponents off you easily.
As far as coming up with cool combos with him, just put a lvl3 CPU against you and try to figure out cool ways to hit them between explosives. Try stuff like grabbing and throwing them into a cooked 'nade or a C4, and just build as much as your imagination comes up with.
