Import 3DS Models

I want to import 3DS models that were ripped/converted from Super Mario Galaxy in order to make a stage. I have seen the DasDonkey tool but heard it can not work with stage mdl0's. Furthermore I am not aware of it being to turn any 3DS into an mdl0 (just ones that it initially exported).

Has importing from a custom 3DS (or other format) been achieved and if not what needs to be done to make it happen (3DS -> mdl0 converter?)

No is has not
However i think RandomTBrush managed to do it but it took over a week and a half of hexing to get it to work

Vertex Box is NOT, I repeat, NOT a custom model importer. It's for changing parts on a character.

Anyone have a good mdl0 spec or should I just look at BrawlBox's code?
