Hey guys, I've been playing Brawl online competitively a lot on gamebattles.com, but I am absolutely getting my *** handed to me. My overall record is 13-45 and a lot of those 13 wins are people who didn't show up.
I've played with meta knight pretty much the entire time when going through the solo mode, and I've got 1800+ KOs with him on the game. SSB is one of my favorite video game franchises ever and I'm just saying this stuff to just point out that I don't think it's a lack of experience with the game.

So just a few things -

Online, is it normally hard to do well with MK?

I'm using the wiimote + nunchuck, will switching to a GC controller help me alot? (does it matter if it's wireless?)

Does how you play online translate directly to how well you play in person?

Any other tips would rock. Thanks guys!:)

With any lag or button lag, yes.

It's your decision, but most people use GC. It should be a wired controller, wireless ones are sometimes banned.

If there is ABSOLUTELY NO LAG, yes. But for most people, that rarely happens. So, no.
Any other tips would rock. Thanks guys!:)

1. Yes if there is a hint of lag it will be harder to time quite alot of things.

2. Most will tell you yes. The GC controller is superior for many reasons. Mote n chuk are casual play but you can play with it but I personally wouldn't reccomend it.

3. No there is no lag offline. It's like a completely differant game.

I only play online for fun.
