If that were true, it would also mean a lot less Brawl tourneys, and smaller prizes. Also, I haven't seen anyone who said I'm sticking to melee only yet. But I agree, people gotta stop whining about wavedashing.

Luckily I'm smart enough to know that they won't need techniques to beat you.

Aww, even the players who did say they would stick to Melee will switch after everyone else is off playing Brawl. Right? I mean, no one is actually that stubborn, right?

And I really don't understand why they would announce their refusal to play a game that hasn't been released yet. Also, if Melee didn't have wavedashing (or whatever is not in Brawl that they want) they would have still played it--they wouldn't have known the difference.

Dylan declared long ago that he wasn't going to play Brawl competitively if he couldn't wave dash; and personally, I don't blame them.
It's something we're used to.
It's something that generally shouldn't have been changed, especially so drastically.
However, most of the community IS in fact already starting to get over no WD/L-cancel (what with lower frame lag on all aerials anyway...) because not only have we found Ink Dropping JUST ON THE FIRST DAY, we've already practically regained the depth that Melee had.
I'd say Brawl is now 5/7th's of Melee in terms of depth.
People will switch, and Brawl will have the major population in all areas, including tournaments.

People who are going to stick to melee are sore losers who don't want brawl to be a true sequal and just want it to be exactly like melee just with new characters. I hate those people. Especially mew2king he's such a douche saying we need wavedashing. I mained luigi, the character who used it most and I'm fine with it out because brawl is not melee.

Brawl is WAY deeper then melee with things like subspace.

But yeah melee's combat is a bit deeper now, but it won't be for long. Brawl will bring a ton of new tactics that we haven't discovered yet.
