Depends what you mean by "good," but if good means you are at least the average tourney goer then yes it is always needed. You just simply cannot win against people who do use this tech correctly (and are not completely horrible in the thinking part of this game).

I'm not using it and I'm quite good in any tourney. No, I don't know what it is but I know I don't use it.

(I thought my sig made it obvious)

I use most of the advanced techs in melee but the only thing I find myself using the c-stick for is aerial maneuvers simply because it's easier to control what direction I'm going in and attack without having to tap the control stick.

But if Brawl doesn't have it I'll cope although I'm sure it will.

IMHO, removing the c-stick would hurt Brawl overall. If you can't do things like retreating fairs, or other techniques that seem to require the c-stick, you'll have less moves in your arsenal. Less moves=less depth and mind games.

On another note, I heard that Isai doesn't really use the c-stick. Anyone know if this is true?
