Blogs are for those who want to talk about something, write whatever is on their mind, bring up discussion topics, etc.
The other areas of the forums are clearly described on the main forum page. Smashboards is more of a forum/message-board than AIB and focuses less on player profiles (from what I have gathered from AIB). So it's obviously going to be different. Personally, I prefer these boards. If you have a question, go to Forum Support or explain what confuses you instead of being vague.
