Sarah puts two and two together and sighs.
Sarah: Ashley, you can't eat raw meat (not knowing that it was also human)... or drink blood. You can get very sick... (she says, as she wipes blood from her face) and cause other problems.
<I think Ashley should, at some point, stop doing it. I know this is not supposed to be realistic, but it feels like she is running the odds for a disease. If these parents are responsible about it and have no reason not to, they might take her to the hospital, which means more chiding about eating dangerous meat, and the report would have to be 'clean as a whistle,' or 'she has X complication.' What do you say? Should they visit a doctor?>
Sarah: When you drink blood, you are drinking a river of tiny, unknown material. You don't know what could be in that river, and you could get sick. The blood itself is not good to have much of either.
