I'm bored of Brawl; anyone know any good TCGs?

I've played Magic, Pokemon, Yugioh, and a bit of VS. I liked Yu-Gi-Oh the best. I'm looking for a new TCG which doesn't use tokens or markers, so I can keep track of everything with a simple four function calculator at most. Ideally, this game wouldn't have an arbitrary number of points as the win condition, but rather you would have to gain a certain number of "locations." I'd like it if games took 10 minutes or less once proficiency is reached. Does anyone know of any TCG currently on the market that matches these specifications?

Just find a group of friends and play Monopoly..

Always the best solution..
Other than that.. not many TCG out there as good as those.

edit: What about the Dragon Ball Z card game? Are they still available.

Ick monopoly. I like indivudual games to last under 10 minutes. Monopoly tends to drag on.

DBZ cards are kinda rare now...that game was kind of complicated but it was fun...

Speaking of rare...i remember DBZ Ultra rares being RARE (not like Yu-gi-HOE) Anyone still have any UR's from the Older DBZ TCG? (not GT)

fixed.

Despite it, the Yu-gi-oh cards were fun. The show was terrible. "Oh sorry, I have this ONE card in my deck for this ONE situation that automatically makes me win! GG n00b!"

This.

I'd still play Yugioh if it wasn't the most expensive card game to stay into.
That, and it changes way too fast for me to keep up.

I'll stick to vidja games, thank you very much, although I'll play Pokemon/Yugioh on the side for the fun of it.

I quit buying real yu-gi-oh cards when Gadgets were released. Still, it's a fun game because the board isn't very complicated and games are short, so it avoids tedium.

Game of Thrones and Legend of the Five Rings are both cool games to play. They are intriguing and different from most other games that I've played.

I'd still be playing MTG if it didn't cycle so quickly, or if I had sick amounts of money to blow, but I have neither. I haven't played in ages.

May I suggest dumping the whole TCG idea, and purchasing a 360 instead. I recently picked one up for myself, and between "The Orange Box", and "Bioshock", I'm not sure I'll ever be bored again. I've become quite the TF2 addict. Half the fun is running into some of cool dudes on Live, and shooting the breeze while playing. Just a suggestion. Peace.

TCGs are a blast. Just started with pokemon even though I've had around 1k cards for a year, and am about to get in to magic. I've played yu-gi-oh, but I don't really care for it much.

I must say, Pokemon TCG was the best (at least when it first came out that is on Game Boy Color)

other than that, I not really into any of them other than to collect rare cards such as Yu-Gi-Oh and the old Pokemon cards of course, not any of the new one's though.

The new PKMN cards I gotta say are different compared to the older versions.

Oh well.
Just requires a slightly different approach to setting up decks...

My decks combine new and old cards. A bunch of my friends and I are having an old school pokemon tcg tourney. We are only allowed to use cards up to the Rocket series. My deck is fire/elec/fight. All basics, except aerodactyl. I plan to stop them from evolving, while I am hammering at them with decent basics such as hitmonchan, magmar, electabuzz. I also have a ditto in there as well.

I can't wait to start playing mtg. I'm going to go with a blue deck. I like the idea of manipulation/control/shutting your opponent down. Plus water is awesome.

Best 2 TCGs you will find are Magic: The Gathering and YGO

If you are looking for something new and fun the Pokemon TCG has started gaining more of a crowd over the past year.

Seriously. At my high school most people got rid of their magic cards and started playing Pokemon again.

1048576, I'm starting smash cards up again if you want to help out/play with that. Anyone that wants to play is welcome, its over in Decisive Games. Its yugioh card game rules with custom cards based on smash, and eventually all of video gamedom. I'm starting it up in a week or so and I'm looking for some people to play. I warn you though, don't pick it up if you immediately plan to drop it. Just go post in it if you are interested.

EDIT: I forgot a few things:
A) One of the great things about is you will be able to make the cards we use to play. I just look at them to make sure they are fair.
B) 1048576, I'd be interested in you helping make the cards, clarify them, and just generally organize the game, kinda like last time if you are interested. Just shoot me a pm if you want.

Generally, I play all sorts of card games as they pop into my attention.

Generally I only play proxy decks though. (not enough money to buy the cards >.<)

I just buy a pack of 60-100 card sleeves, put a deck of bridge/poker cards in them then, then slide a printout of the card that its supposed to be. You can't know what cards they are and you can still play without using a computer program. (I enjoy playing the game on a table rather than on a screen.)

MTG is good but they have gone to hell with it recently, things are just getting to strong to fast...its like 3-6 turn games all the time....

Powerful cards like Dragon Storm are allmost usless now...allmost

I miss the old Magic The Gathering days. That's why I shifted to play Extended instead of Type 2 constructed it's more fun and old school and I still get to play Tooth and Nail.

I haven't actually played it, but this sounds like the EVE TCG game.

Making decks is addicting. I've made 7 pokemon decks. I'm stopping now. I'm done buying pokemon cards for now, still playing it, but going to buy magic cards now.

Pokemon sucks because the energy covers up the pokemon unless you put it underneath, which is time consuming. The damage is also a pain to keep track of. I think the prize mechanic should be reversed, though. Your opponent gets the prize when you KO one of his/her pokemon. When you run out of prizes, you lose.

That's old school now? :ohwell: I remember when the Necropotence decks were new and confusing. Give me back my Library of Alexandria and Icy Manipulators any day over any of these new sets. **** storm.

i think the main reason i quit MTG back in the day was because elfs became to popular....Elfs are the Isai of MTG

Yeah, my friend has a killer elf deck, but my new Bant control deck shuts it out every time.

I tried playing Yu-gi-oh but its just soooo hard to get ANY decent cards. MTG is way better in this aspect.

Here's what you should do.

Go back to Magic
or
Try out the WoW tcg.
