Hello Smashboards (again)

I joined here about 4 years ago, right after Smash 4 was released, looking for advice because I thought I could get good. What a joke haha
I recently got back into playing smash but this time I seem to be more into Melee this time. It's what my friends are playing and I just want to not lose every time I play against them. So, not learning from my mistakes from 4 years ago, here I am, looking for advice on how to play a video game, here again on this website. Hopefully I find some good info, I'm a Luigi and Marth player and I'm decent in my own right, but my friends just practice way more than me and there's no way I can stand up against them. Not really into tournaments too much, especially since there isn't much around here in Calgary, plus I don't have the luxury of being able to travel around. Went to a few local Smash 4 tourneys back in the day, got my ass kicked promptly. Nothing against them, just not really a fan, personally. Anyways, hopefully I stay for longer than like 3 months and actually get some good info this time. If anyone wants to chat, just hit me up, I'm pretty much always free.

Thanks Smashboards.
