Well, I don't live "near" Quincy, but my family is from the area. I don't know when I'll go back to see them (maybe around Thanksgiving), but I might be down for some friendly matches when I'm in the area. My brother also still lives down there and he plays Project M. And I know it's past August already, but what Smash games are you wanting to play?

I think Quincy is a bad area to live in as far as having a lot of people with anything in common (Smash or whatever). It doesn't have a huge population base and it's sort of far from everything... Two hours from St. Louis, two-three hours from the central Illinois cities, nothing but little podunk towns in Missouri to the west... It's honestly one of the reasons I don't want to move back there... >_>

Hey,

I am just getting into Smash, and I will definitely be looking for people to play against. Most likely going the Sm4sh route since I would be so far behind in Melee. If there was a large enough group playing melee in Quincy I would consider it.

On another note, I think quincy is the perfect sized town to start a Smash group. We have QU college that would bring fresh new people in yearly. Might just need some organization. Let me know what you think.

No sadly, I haven't found anyone.

The great thing about Smash 4 for beginners though, is that DI is now much more intuitive! I'm not the best teacher but I can still give pointers.

IT HAS BEGUN!!!!! This Saturday, October 18th in Bellevue, NE.

At the same great, spacious venue as Roll Tier X4, 70MGame, featuring the RTx4 staff and free pizza from Little Caesars. Last weekend we had 100+ for RTx4, let's keep it coming for Nebraska's first open Sm4sh tournaments, along with 64/Brawl singles and doubles.

I'm from westside chicago in Oak Park. Also lookin to get into a local scene if people know about one. I think there's something called Windy City Smash that organizes but I dont know much aside from that.

ayo @ HerbSuperb im currently trying to find my smash scene in chicago too. ive been to a couple weekly events in lakeview but I'm currently looking for more and am potentially looking at starting my own event. anyway i will let you know next time i find something in chicago and please do the same for me! right now all i know is that there is a tourney on jan 24th by @Events2Compete somewhere in chicago but the venue hasnt been decided yet

Also, i think there's some sort of pm and melee event on the 20th at EXP gaming in OP but I'm nowhere near as good in Melee than I am in sm4sh. I might just go anyway for the hell of it

I'm in the Aurora/Naperville area. The people I play with are mostly casual (nothing wrong with that), so I'm looking to find other people with a competitive mindset for training and for fun. I play Smash 4 primarily, but dabble in Melee as well (for fun, not competitive or anything like that).

With over 140 people registered for the great Revival this weekend in WI, things are looking great for the MW so far and we expect things to be just as crazy up in MN with the Warehouse Throwdown 3.1415!!!

The 2nd leg of the circuit is in S. St. Cloud, MN on March 14th 2015. Registration will end March 6th at 11:59 pm (DIFFERENT THAN POSTED AS OF THIS POST), and the venue fee will increase by $5 on Feb 21st.

I live in Quincy and I play Smash 4, occasionally brawl, and I don't know if there is a age limit, but at the library on Wednesdays we play ssb4 and Brawl, it's from 3 pm to 5pm. I'm thinking about trying to arrange a tournament but I don't know.

Most everyone there is 14 to 18 years old but only one person over that (20 years old) ever comes by, so that's why I wondered if there was a age limit. Though, if you stopped by I doubt Deborah (Supervisor lady) would say anything.

Oh wow, I live in La Grange, MO and had no idea that the Quincy Library would have something like that. I'm looking for people to play as well. (Playing For Glory on the DSL over here sucks.)

I'm 30 years old though. I know a few other people in Quincy that play Smash 4 that are in their mid-to-late 20's, so I was hoping their would be some more adult-age people there. Might be kind of awkward to show up. :/ What do you think, LittleMac?
