Ike superjump glitch?

I try to gimp Wii Fit trainer, but my recovery jump is super high. At first I thought I nailed the footstool but the sound didn't play. I rewatched the video and there's no footstool animation either. What is going on here?

Footstooling someone in the middle of an attack will give you the jump without sending the opponent into tumble.

I believe it also doesn't make the ''woop'' sound when you footstool an attacking opponent.

It happens with all the characters, I think. Well, it happened to me with Ganondorf, Falcon, Fox, Shulk and Samus. It's like a... fake footstool, I guess?

Phantom Footstool, has been in since brawl, basically gives you the footstool jump but the other character is in a state where they can't be footstool'd so you just get the high jump rather than the high jump and the disrespect.
