Well the game's getting closer and closer and once the game comes out in japan in a few weeks or even before that if there's a leak, everything going to be spoiled. Myself, i'm not man enough to stay off the internet for a few weeks until brawl comes out so i'm just going to let the spoilers hit me as hard as they can. That way people can't black mail me with spoilers.

I'll definitely spoil all the characters, stages, items, assist trophies, pokemon, music, and modes of play ASAP. The only thing I'm trying to avoid is the story of SSE.

Eh, it can't be that great story wise anyway. The cut scenes themselves look amazing though. Hell, they made petey piranha scary, that's more than allot of other games can claim to.

Yep. I think I'm going to try and avoid too many videos and screenshots pre-launch simply because I want the first play with certain characters to be somewhat surprising.

As for SSE, no way in hell I'm getting spoiled for that. I'm really looking forward to a true Smash Bros story.

I'd like to do that but, I know I'll end up researching everything before I get the game. Ill probably even make a list of how to unlock all the characters.

I'll be looking forward to gathering all the single drops of info I can get my hands on. Characters, Stages, Items, ATs, Pokéballs, Music (Hopefully an OST *drools*), Game Modes... I think you get my point.

I'm not even very uptight about SSE's storyline. I doubt it'll be something to awe over so it doesn't sparkle my interest very much. Just... give... me... the final... roster!

Can you imagine how big a smash bros soundtrack would be for brawl? And if they do smashing live again that's gotta be the biggest soundtrack ive seen in a very very long time aside from compilations.

I'm going to let EVERYTHING get spoiled for me, that includes the SSE story. Why would I do this? Well I just want to know what to expect and as far as stories go I doubt the SSE will be that deep.

I'm going to try my hardest to avoid the character roster. Originally, I was trying to soak up any info I can, but after learning that most characters are unlocked through SSE, I think the surprise of unlocking them is greatly enhanced.

lol, I just imagined sentences containing Brawl spoilers hitting you like bullets, and you just fall down in slow-motion.

But don't worry, you live.

Kinda random, but whatever.

Well, I will spoil myself, because I've waited too long for this game.

Even sakurai said so himself that avoiding spoilers was kinda impossible especially with people using hidden characters online.

When January 23rd arrives, I'm outta here. Until Brawl arrives Brazil. In the worst case scenario, Feb. 17th.

That's kinda exactly how I feel I wanna be surprised and have fun playing the game. Not knowing everything before I even start playing.

It's like you are about to unlock a character and when you are going to unlock it you'll be like yea yea I already know lets just fight already.

But if you don't know you'll be all going crazy OMG and stuff.

there's no way for me to avoid the spoilers considering all the sites I visit, so I'll probably go looking for them.

But I may try to avoid SSE spoilers.

spoilers calm my desires to play brawl so much. The more thats revealed the easier it is to wait until the 10th of February.

Bleck!

Bah! I buy a $50+ game to play it through on my own steam, not to have all its contents read out to me like some kind of pop-up-book. That's my view of it anyways.

As soon as the date strikes Japanese release date, I'll check up on the Smash update for that day, then avoid all things internet for a couple of weeks.

It won't be too hard with my finals and all happening inbetween those periods D:...

I'd prefer to leave the majority of the SSE mode unknown to me until I can play it for myself, but I've been waiting for a full roster leak since the first trailer hit. :( Forget surprises, I just want to know who I get to play as already! ;_;

I'm leaving this forum until I've unlocked everything (Then I'll come back for FCs) I'm staying off Instant Messengers, and there's a certain person I know who's phone calls I'll be avoiding.

I love the feeling of unlocking a "WTF" character.

Amazing. I bet many of you are going to put a lot of effort into avoiding the internet. Me? Bring on the bad news NOW. Even the SSE story. Don't care for surprises anymore. I like a good story, but I can't expect that much now and days unless it's a Western RPG (meaning it came from the North America).

To the people that will try to avoid spoilers at all costs: When and if you do get spoiled, PM me and tell me that you tried your best but got spoiled. I'd like to eventually post it as a post-Brawl release survey, in a sense.

I'm only going to check the updates through Jan 20- Feb10 because SYMN's podcast said that some Japanese will get the game early and post it everywhere they can. I don't want the game I waited so long to get get "spoiled" for me.
It takes all the "WOW!" experiences you have while playing the game.

I hate to say it, but the only way you can lose the WOW factor of a secret is if you get spoiled fully. Not just the what was spoiled, but the when and how it comes to be. I knew Ganondorf would be in Twilight Princess, I stumbled on the spoiler on accident. How and when he came into play though was a complete shock to me. I thought I would see him earlier in the game, or even as he came into the game.

I still think there will be some WOW whenever you get to unlock something that you already know about, as long as you don't know the how or when.

I will see the characters in Brawl asap, which should be within the next two weeks.

It's better than hiding from the media till Feb. 10th, then going to the store to buy Brawl and have some pro-bot or noob that I run into spoil the game for me.

I agree with Mr. M right up there.
I'm actually more interested in how the SSE is going to play out than the actual roster, as the only character I truly want in there is a shoe-in and I'm not really against any character's inclusion so I'm not worried on how that will turn out.

I don't get why people stay off the internet for these things...
When you look at it, you are only doing this to give yourself a one-time super feeling, you are ''surprising yourself''.......sounds a bit stupid to me....
When it comes out in Japan, DANG I'll be surfing the internet every day to check which character/mode/technique is discovered now, which stages are in etc etc...
I think it doesn't spoil the gameplay at all, when I know that for example Ridley is in, I'll only get more excited about the game. Then, when I play (again for example) the SSE and unlock Ridley, I won't be like: ''Duuuuuuh I already knew that....no fun to play with him anymore...''
When I unlock Ridley in SSE I will still get a smile on my face and I still will be dying to play with him...

My point: Surprising yourself on purpose is just another form of masturbation
