Personally, I think they should shut down the boards for a couple weeks aroud the time the game comes out...to clean it up, rearrange stuff, avoid all of the pain and anguish of people coming on here and listing spoilers.

No. If you don't have the self control to stay away, that's your problem. It's a terrible idea to shut down one of (if not THE) foremost places to discuss Smash because the information about it actually has just come out.

If you can't exercise the patience to stay away from here once the information starts flowing, then I daresay you deserve, and maybe even WANT to be spoiled.

I don't see what the big deal with unlockables anyways... Me, a casual player whose enjoyment of this game is largely based around the characters in the game, was "spoiled" the whole Melee roster weeks before I got the game, and I STILL enjoy the game after what... 6 years now?

I'm already restricting myself from the CHaracter boards after hearing about the rumored roster leak. Later, I'll be going to only the Dojo Updates and then I will be gone out of here.

I won't be surprised if the full roster is known at this time. Stuff like that happens to many fighting games before they release.
