If the roster leak is real, how will the trailers go?

Instead of doing the unveiling on something like a Nintendo Direct, we're going to live-stream the reveal on the official website on Monday, July 14, at 7:00 AM US Pacific Time (4:00 PM European Central Time). Looks like we're nearing the bottom of the stash of new challenger videos that we've made... Like always, we put a lot of effort into it, so I hope you'll enjoy watching it live."

So since we're "nearing the bottom" of character reveal trailers, I think we'll get 2 trailers max for the characters. However, with so many returning veterans and newcomers presented in the character each one can't get their own like Little Mac or Megaman. So, like the questionable Pac-Man and Palutena trailers which revealed Dark Pit and Game&Watch and the Robin-Lucina trailer that revealed Captain Falcon, the next trailers will do some collaboration of characters and newcomers. The question is, which ones will go with which?

Personally, I see Duck Hunt Dog, Dr. Mario, and R.O.B going together. They are all from the same time period, so some sort of interaction between them all is likely. Imagine the player failing to shoot the duck, the dog laughs, and then a pill comes out of the sky on the dog. Then show a gameplay montage between the two, and act as if it was a old color vision RC T.V and it would show R.O.B controlling a NES controller.

There is so much opportunity to be done with the characters, so voice your own opinions.

If Dark Pit is in the game, I really kind of wish that they'd just confirmed him in Palutena's like Lucina in Robin's.

I could see your idea of those three classics doing the thing, it has potential.

But. I think I'd rather see something like Mario & Luigi going through the Mushroom Kingdom and stumbling upon the area where Duck Hunt is. I think that it just being those two mixing with DHD would be an awesome throwback to why people knew Duck Hunt back then.

As for Bowser Jr trailer, I think it'd be cool to see Mario running along a mirror, maybe the one in Mario 64 next to Snowman's Land? Then all of a sudden his reflection is Shadow Mario instead. They do their little dance like every cartoon does in front of it with Shadow Mario redoing the motions. Then Jr morphs from Shadow Mario and hops into the clown copter. "Bowser Jr is the only character with a bandanna!" At the end of the video, Mario, Shadow Mario & then Dr. Mario are all sitting at a table and Peach is unsure which one to flirt with.

As far as ROB goes, do I even need to state that he belongs in the Shulk trailer? Xenoblade's totes about the robots. It'd be perfect. Imagine Shulk ripping through tons of robots with the Monado, doing the thing... "Shulk makes it Reyn!" (Later confirmed that Reyn is part of Shulk's final smash... I dunno. I've never played Xenoblade), then he sees the guy who's commanding the platoon of robots, and it's ROB/Ancient Minister if they're feeling like doing that. I dunno, I think it'd fit perfect.

Adding on to the Xenoblade one, as Shulk is running in to battle perhaps the Duck Hunt Dog could make an appearance somewhere? The most common area in Xenoblade is a open field with patches of grass from what I've played so If they don't do some retro collaboration the Duck Hunt Dog could fit in their as well. Maybe after the Shulk gets knocked down the dog comes up and laughs.

It will be done this way to troll the people thinking it confirms him as a hazard.
(I don't think the leak is real, which is why I didn't make up a scenario including them.)

Shulk's in an abandoned lab and finds the rulings of Smash book (or a Smash Bros. invitation) when Monado awakens and he sees a vision where a psychic blast comes at him and KO's him. He readies Monado and activates its Shield ability and is protected from a blast of dark energy. Amongst the rubble, a shadowy figure with glowing blue eyes appears and Shulk and finds himself head to head with Mewtwo.

I was actually unaware of the Ninja/Vaanrose leak, just parts of it like DLC characters.

I would like to see a trailer for Duck Hunt Dog done in the original 8-bit style. It centers in on a game of Duck Hunt: the Hunter is shooting at the ducks (and taking them down flawlessly). He clears the level and reveals himself to be none other than... Snake! He starts the next level and misses pathetically. DHD appears and does his iconic laugh. Snake, clearly irritated, launches an explosive at DHD. DHD dog dodges it swiftly (in the uniquely Smah Bros way). Snake uses his Up Special and flies into the background where it transitions from 8-bit to the actual gameplay. Showing off Snake and DHD gameplay.

I don't care if Snake isn't in the leak, bite me.

Dark Pit will be shooting at a bunch of 8-bit Pits on a screen and will eventually miss a round. Then the Duck Hunt Dog pops out of the bushes with that stupid grin on his face, and proceeds to beat up both versions of Pit, but without a newcomer splash. Then a giant space pterodactyl comes in playable fighting with Black Shadow and Wolf against Captain Falcon, Samus, and Falco (since Fox is already known to be playable), simultaneously discrediting the leak and making the video the next best after the Fire Emblem debut trailer.
