If Roy is on brawl, he needs to have his own moves.

I dont mind roy being in brawl, I like his gold armor. Thing is, he's a terrible character in melee, despite a few good moves he's just terrible in many areas.
I hope if roy is in brawl, that he's got a new set of moves that WORK with his fastfalling nature, or just plain make him floaty.
Also, give him a tipper plz.

I'm not anti-Roy...in fact, I mained him for a bit.
I also am a bit of a realist. I know that Sakurai never wanted him in in the first place, and then was going to nix him from the English version of the game. The fact that he was in there solely to promote a game points to the probability that, since said game has been released, he won't be returning.
But I do love me some phire.

I think what you said was so stupid in my opinion. "He's a terrible character." Are you serious? Every character can be used well depending on how you use them. Just take a look at a character like Donkey Kong. He's a mid-tier character, but can be used lethally against a Fox player depending on how you take advantage of your opponents character's disadvantages. Roy is a great character that needs some credit. If anything, I think Marth shouldn't even be a choice for Brawl.
Why in the world do you think "Marth shouldn't even be a choice for Brawl." He's one of the best, and just like sheik, their not going to be taking out the best. I think the only people their are going to take out of the roster are the charater chones, even then they might just take out 3 or 4. IC, young link, and G&W i heard somewhere those were already confimed.

Marth is the most important Fire Emblem character that ever existed.
He was only the first lord ever and the main protagonist for the Fire Emblem series.He was also in Fire Emblem 3 and even had his own anime.Marth's character was also overall way more well designed than Roy.
Roy was only a character for advertising for Fire Emblem 6 for the Game Boy Advance.
And don't give me that "any character can be good" crap.That argument is invalid because:
1.A majority of the people who are good with low tier are professional players.And last time I checked,everyone isn't Taj or Bum.Making a comparison to experianced players only shows that you're so shallow that you cannot refere to your own skill.
Make a comparison to the intermediate player,then compare and contrast the number of low-mid-high tier players.You won't find that many who play/do well with low tier.
2.In order to play well with low tier characters,you can't afford to make mistakes because they cannot make up for them.High tier characters can easilty make up for there mistakes.In order to **** with lower characters,you have to be a perfectionist.
Low tier is to potential,as potential is equivilant to perfection.

Marth won't return because he is the best. Most likely he will return becasue he is an important character to the Fire Emblem series.
Being the "best" doesn't save characters. That is opinion, no one can prove it.
The thing about the IC's, young link, and G&W. That was a rumor that was proven false long ago. -_-

Actually...I thought that Marth was the clone. Just because you unlock Marth first doesn't make Roy the clone...
On that note, would Roy "need his own moves" if Marth was taken out completely??

Roy is definitely the clone. Roy was originally not going to be in the game, but he replaced Sigurd at the last minute as Marth's clone. That's the reason why you unlock Marth first because as he is the original.
Not to mention you fight Roy with the other clones in the final all-star event match.

I went back and reread the stuff about Marth; I read it wrong. I thought it was saying that Roy was going to be Siguard's sidekick. nvm
By the way, why is this thread still open?
Well he def is an important character to the seris. By "best" i meant tiers sorry, i just really like him... and where did you find that info about the rumor?
